“Awesome” is a vibrant word
That’s overused by far
For a woman’s hair color
Or for a brand-new car.

But stand beside a turbulent sea
Beneath a harvest moon,
Or watch a cheetah running
Or see a flying loon.

Technology is something else,
And all that will ensue,
But I’m reserving “awesome”, Lord,
For all that’s done by You.
